Eden's First Birthday : Party Details

Totally forgot to publish this blog post #mombrain! But - our sweet baby girl is ONE (as of August 8th haha). Her birthday was bittersweet (but mostly sweet) and I can't believe she is now officially a little girl.

We had two small parties for Eden. One was with my side of the family (in my hometown) and the other was here in Tampa with my husbands family. The parties were simple and sweet but full of lots of fun details and love.

Party #1 : Who Said I Need a Bath?

Her party in Melbourne was hosted by my ultra crafty mother. The theme was "Bath Time" since Eden has loved the bath tub since day 1.

We held the party mostly outside (thanks to COVID) but we set up splash pads, pools, and watersides for the kids. We also had shaded areas and little tables for eating.

My mom made boxed lunches with Chick-fil-A brunch and fruit. She also made kids meals complete with toys!

We had an iced-tea bar with different flavor syrups (it turned out super cute). We also had a huge marine cooler with waters, iced-coffee, and juice!

For her "cake" we did one simple donut. Since it was morning time (and our food was more of a brunch) we did a donut cake for everyone. We used Dunkin Donuts and just arranged them on a cake stand.

The decor was SUPER cute but also really simple. We tried for a balloon arch and it was the hardest thing lol. But everything turned out amazing. I made a DIY "All About Me" poster from Canva.com and printed out her monthly pics to arrange over the main decor. (Shoot me an email or leave a comment if you want the Canva template I made for her "All About Me" sign.)

The party favors were little test tubes filled with Epsom salts (for the adults) and bath bombs with surprise toys (for the kids).

Party #2: Dog Theme

Eden's second party was here in Tampa (on her actual birthday) with her other side of the family. It was super fun and hosted by my sweet in-laws! We had yummy Spanish food, we danced, opened gifts, and spent the day with so many people who love Eden!

For her "cake" we did a charcuterie board that was dog themed. I based the desserts off the 5 dogs in Eden's life and made little tags for each item. This was a really inexpensive way to create a unique and fun dessert for all!

For decor I DIY'ed a dog house from some boxes and ordered an Amazon Party Kit (that was made for an actual dogs 1st birthday). It had all sorts of fun balloons and cute signs.

We have truly loved watching Eden grow over this past year and are beyond grateful to be her parents. Thank you for all the love and kindness shown to us daily!

Here's to year 2!
